Project Brief

Reimagine and enhance an existing toy by addressing existing user pain points.

Approach

I chose to redesign a toy I was obsessed with when I was younger. My goal was to modernize the design and enhance usability by fixing issues that once frustrated me.

Current Issues

  • Loose game pieces that can be easily lost

  • Unsecure puzzle pamphlet

  • Poor travel durability; can easily fall over on uneven surface

Ideation

  • Game board configuration

  • 2 player or 1 player?

  • Tackling loose pieces

Improvements

  • Magnetic game pieces

  • Touchscreen to display and navigate puzzle challenges

  • LED light strip to play in dark environments
